Treasuring Our Environment and History

Central to the design of Kedron Square is preservation of the area’s natural beauty. As a steward of the land, Kedron Square preserves, protects and respects Spring Hill’s beautiful natural environment. With approximately 18.9 acres of common park space (including the lake), Kedron Square ensures integrated co-existence of natural and man-made aspects of the property and surrounding community. Balanced integration of the natural environment promotes healthy living and quality of life while preserving Spring Hill’s unique character and identity.

Celebrating the area’s natural and historic beauty, Kedron Square includes:

  • Activated use of historic Ferguson Hall as a landmark of Spring Hill
  • Community park on Main Street in front of historic Ferguson Hall
  • Preservation of the eight acre lake
  • Community park bordering the eight acre lake
  • Trail system meandering throughout the community and alongside the waterfront park
  • Pedestrian connection to Spring Hill’s existing greenway system
  • Pedestrian plaza and trailhead overlooking the waterfront
  • Open green space within commercial district with memorial to Tennessee Children’s Home
  • Pocket park with pedestrian connection to Elm Street
  • Other pocket parks and green spaces throughout the community

Commemorating Spring Hill’s rich heritage, Kedron Square preserves and honors the history and unique stories of the property, the surrounding area and the greater community. Kedron Square draws Ferguson Hall back into the Spring Hill community by incorporating the historic home into the design of the master planned community. With an activated use for Ferguson Hall, the community can once again enjoy the unique history and architectural beauty of the historic home. The community park on Main Street enhances the enjoyment of the historic home for locals and visitors alike.
